Parking in major cities presents three primary problems: limited availability, high costs, and complex regulations. The scarcity of parking spaces, expensive fees, and various restrictions make it challenging for drivers to find affordable and convenient parking options in densely populated urban areas.
These are the same communities that suffer from new project developments with malls, arenas, amusement parks and restaurants while the city capitalizes at everyone else’s expense.
is to create parking opportunities for local communities by giving everyday people the platform to convert their empty parking spaces into revenue generating community empowerment.
DriveStay was founded with the idea of reinventing the parking experience for people all over the world. Founders Evans and Anthony originally started the company out of the frustration of having problems finding parking. Both founders come from big cities, have always lived in big cities and travel often to different cities. The one thing that we’ve always found frustrating is how hard it is to find available parking, especially if there is an event of some sort going on.
The idea of peer to peer asset sharing isn’t a new concept. In fact some of the most renown companies like Airbnb and Turo paved the way for this idea years ago. Yet we were surprised to find that no one had decided to take this idea and apply it to parking.
“We want to change the industry and its history for the better to create a more sustainable future for people.”
